J. Michael Lunsford earned B.S. in biology/chemistry from the University of Houston. He went on to earn his D.P.M. at the Ohio College of Podiatric Medicine. Dr. Lunsford completed his postgraduate education with a surgical preceptorship/fellowship in Clear Lake City, Texas. He is licensed to practice in the state of Texas and is a Board Certified Diplomat of the American Board of Podiatric Foot and Ankle Surgery.

Dr. Lunsford was the recipient of the 2000 and 2003 Outstanding Podiatrist Award.

Dr. Lunsford has academic appointments as adjunct clinical faculty with the Ohio College of Podiatric medicine and as Director of the Universal Laser Technologies CO2 and Pulsed Dye Laser Certification Program.

He is currently affiliated with Memorial Hermann - Memorial City Hospital, Memorial Hermann – Katy Medical Center, Columbia Spring Branch Medical Center, Foundation Westside Surgical Center and Surgicare Memorial Village Surgery Center.

Dr. Lunsford’s professional memberships include the American Podiatric Medical Association, the Texas Podiatric Medical Association, the Harris County Podiatric Medical Association, the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons, the American College of Foot Orthopedists, the American Society of Podiatric Dermatology, the American Academy of Podiatric Microsurgery and the American Academy of Podiatric Sports Medicine. He is also a fellow of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgery and the International College of Podiatric Laser Surgery.
