Jeffrey Bowman graduated in 1979 with honors from the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, Michigan. He earned his D.P.M. in 1983 from the Illinois College of Podiatric Medicine in Chicago. He also completed extensive training in 1985 in Houston, Texas. Dr. Bowman is certified in foot and ankle surgery by the American Board of Medical Specialties in Podiatric Surgery and Medicine, American Academy of Pain Management, International Society of Podiatric Laser Surgery and the Academy of Ambulatory Foot Surgery.

His honors include being named as Distinguished Physician of the Year. Dr. Bowman was also honored by the International Directory of Distinguished Leaders for “Significant Career Achievements and Contributions to Podiatric Medicine,” and by the American Biological Institute for “Outstanding Achievements in Podiatric Medicine.” In addition, he held a research advisor position with the American Biological Institute.

Dr. Bowman opened his Houston Foot Specialists private practice in 1986. The practice is affiliated with all major hospitals and outpatient surgical centers.

He is active in his profession and has served on the board of directors and as president of the Texas Podiatric Medical Association. He has also been featured many times in the Houston Chronicle, TV, radio talk shows and is a sought after speaker.

Dr. Bowman’s current memberships include the American Podiatric Medical Association, the Texas Podiatric Medical Association, the Harris County Podiatric Medical Association, the American Academy of Pain Management, the American Board of Medical Specialties in Podiatry, the Academy of Ambulatory Foot Surgery, the American Society for Laser Medicine and Surgery and the Doctor of Podiatric Medicine Network.
